Anahit Gogyan

I am Anahit Gogyan, researcher and the Scientific Secretary of the Institute for Physical Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. I have done my joint PhD studies in 2007-2010 in Armenia under supervision of Prof. Yu. Malakyan and in the Laboratoire interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne Dijon, France under supervision of prof. S. Guerin. In Spring of 2012 I was a research visitor at the group of prof. D. Budker at the UC Berkeley, California.
I am working on quantum information and related problems, interaction of atoms and molecules with ultrashort laser pulses in non-linear processes.

Currently I am actively involved in theoretical investigation of light propagation in non-linear photorefractive media and its control. We have observed solitonic behaviour of probe field while propagating in a medium structured by non-diffracting Bessel beams. The work is in progress
